Taylor Funnies!

Kids say the Darndest things! I know everyone thinks they have the funniest children. Here is a few funnies our kids have recently said!

We have been reading the scriptures. After each chapter we discuss with our kids what was being said or what happened in what we just read. We were reading in 2nd Nephi yesterday. Grace and Gid love reading, Hal has yet to sit still for more then 2 minutes.

We were explaining about the pre-existance and Jesus and Satan's plan. What plan we chose ect.

Gracie: (very seriously). Mom, is Satan here in Dayton.

Me: yup, Satan is always trying to get us to naughty mean things, sometimes he has helpers that try and get us to be bad.

Grace: That is not good. Satan needs a really long time out!


Again reading the scriptures. Brian was explaining about contentions between the Lamanites and Nephites. He explained what a contention was as a fight.

Gid: They were fighting!

Gracie: Yes, Gid. That is what he just said.

Gid: Dad, how were they fighting?

Gracie (exasperated) Gid, they were pinching, hitting and biting.

And last

Gid ran into the kitchen very excitedly holding a penny.

Gid: Mom, look what I found. Now we can go to Disney Land!

Me: um, yea that will help.

THE JOYS OF MOTHERHOOD!

Sometimes life gets so crazy you forget to enjoy the simple joys in life. Today Gid got to go rabbit hunting with his dad. It was so crazy how excited that little guys was. He kept running around all morning bragging that he got to spend time with his daddy (Grandpa was mentioned in there also). Seriously, he ran, hopped and skipped from the time he woke up (with the largest grin ever) to the point when he ran (literally) out the door. Walking around in the freezing cold is not my idea of fun but who am I to swash his idea of it! Brian and I also decided we would take the kids to "tangeled" tomorrow night. Gid was way excited until he found out it was a "princess movie." He then said he could not go because he was a boy and boys dont watch princess movies. I told him his dad was going and he decided it would be ok since his dad is not "girly".
Another joy I have is seeing how my darling Halle will dress herself every morning. She picks out the craziest outfits. This is one example. Skirt, shirt and purple boots. I however did pick out the shirt in this picuture. Her first choice was neon green. I do like to call her my Angel or Angel Halle. If I do she stubbornly informs me "I not Angel, I just Halle" fun fun. Bug can wrestle with the best of them. She is a little firecracker, she takes Gid and Grace down all the time and usually has Grace in tears by the time she is done.

And then there is Grace. The girly girl I was never going to have. She got this dancing skirt from her teacher. We no more than walked in the door and she had it on telling me to take her picture. When we got to the car after dance I said "that was sure nice of angela to give you a dancing skirt huh". She said "Yes, I love my skirt, It is just lovely". We were watching some Super Why while Halle was sleeping this afternoon. She said "Mom, when I grow up I am going to be a ballerina and Princess Pea". I started laughing. She continued "and when Gid grows up he is going to be a rocking star"! I am so glad I have these 3 yahoo's to keep life fun and intresting!

Finally.....Christmas, and a few more!

We had a great Christmas! Very relaxing and unstressfull. We hope everyone had a great holiday also! Our little Halle Bug sporting her Red Sox hat!

We had a secret santa family come to our house this year during the last 5 days of Christmas. They brought parts of the nativity scene each night with a scripture to go along with it. It was so awesome and the kids loved it. We are going to do it next year for another family!

My darling hubby made this for me after seeing my Aunt Maquels. It is a bow hanger for the girls and a wall decoreation all in one! Love it!

BUSY BEES!

Lately we have been so busy, we are never home (I know you all know the feeling). Here are a few things we have been doing! Putting up our Christmas tree!

We went to Declo for Thanksgiving. The kids got to go play in the snow with Uncle Shawn.

The kids were learning about the letter "H" in preschool this week! Monday they had crazy hair day! Gracie loved hers but Gid was a little concerned he would look like a girl with blue in his hair but he loved it!

We got to meet Shawn's "friend" that is a "girl" Sam. Way cute and the kids loved her. She even laughed things off when Brian and Travis put Gracie asking them if they liked to kiss. Ha Ha.

We celebrated Brian's 32nd birthday. Boy I am married to an old man!

Ok, not the cutest picture put funny story. The kids were playing in the bedroom the other day and had the door closed. I went to check on them and heard gracie say "Halle, feet on the wall, now hold still, dont move and dont breathe." Kinda made me nervous so I went in and saw this. They were playing "x-ray". Gracie had a role reversal and was the x-ray tech and Halle must have swallowed the nail. ha ha!

We went to the library to meet Curious George. When we got up there Halle, Gid and Choloe all freaked out and started screaming. Hence, the brave one got her picture with Curious George! Later Gid and Halle both wanted to go back, to late!

For preschool for Thanksgiving the kids made pilgrim hats. They sure love their teachers!

Gid went out before preschool one morning and shoveled the snow, even though it was just a skiff, I could not talk him out of it, he did the whole pad in 10 minutes! What a great worker!

Pippi Longstocking! So dang cute and way easy and cheap. Thanks to Becki for the awesome idea! Grace loved it!

Pippi complete with Mr. Nelson. She told me she did not want to wear the eye patch because it made her look like a boy so I only had her wear it for pictures!

Fireman Gid. Yup same as last year. He wants to be a fireman when he grow up with his dad. He told me he will just stay in the fire truck though. Ha Ha.
