5K or not?

Ok, so our town has a 5k run for the 4th celebration. I have been mulling over running it for a week or so. The other day while I was in the bathroom doing Gracie's hair, Gid came in. He dropped his drawers and did a smelly #2. He then proceded to unwind 1/2 the roll of toliet paper to wipe his bum. I finally looked down and while removing the wad from his hand and handing him a few squares said "Gid, how big do you think your bum is? You do not need this much toliet paper to wipe! He took the amount I gave him, wiped his bum and jumped off the pot. While pulling up his up his pants said "well, how come your bum is so big". After laughing my head off I decided I probably should run the 5k and work off some bum since my 4 year old noticed. I am planning on it right now but really trying to talk myself out of it. We will see, I have 3 days left!

We weeded the garden last night. Gid and Grace came inside to get their gloves and help. Halle followed them inside and came out with these! What a great helper (stomping cucumbers and all!)

The girls wanted to paint pictures today. They thought it was so cool, aprons and all.

PLAYHOUSE!

We finally finished the playhouse! It has been 3 years coming but it looks awesome. Thanks to Mom for her awesome drawings, Lisa and Becki for helping paint (and mom), and Uncle Shawn for keeping 4 little kids occupied while we worked! The view from the doorway! We have a rainbow and a tree visable from this view.

This is our baseball field that takes up one wall. It also has "red sox" for Gid, a princess crown for Grace and a lady bug for our little bug!

Two of the other walls. The red wall has our kids and neighbors handprints (in paint) on the wall. There is a awesome counter top (thanks Chad) for the kids to use. On the other wall we have mountains and blue sky! We have a fun sun in the corner that is on the wall and ceiling. Turned out great

This is my favorite part of the playhouse. The rainbow turned out so awesome and this is the first thing you see when you walk in. The kids love it. They also have a couch (thanks Grandma and Grandpa) they love it. I have even caught Gracie out there reading books on the couch. They can't wait to sleep outside with Grandpa! We also have carpet! Thanks to Jeff and Erin for that! It is super soft and lots of room for cousins to join the slumber party

If only we can keep Halle and Hogan from going down the slide without someone to catch them (seriously you should see how fast the slide goes (just ask Grandpa Taylor!) Thanks to everyone for their help and donations. We love it and can't wait for cousins to come play and add their handprints!

So I wanted a picture of just Brian and I since we have not had one since we had kids. Since all of our family had left already we had nobody to take our picture. How do we solve this problem? Answer: Hand our brand new, expensive camera over to 4 year olds! They did a great job though. We have some very talented kids!

Poor Austin was 1 inch to short and they would not let him ride the go-karts either so he got to ride the bumber boats with his Dad!

Circus Circus

The kids got a all day pass for Circus Circus. They loved it! Halle was 4 inches to short to ride anything but the roller coaster but we kept putting her on rides and nobody said anything so.. she had a great time.

Gid's fav ride was the airplanes that he could raise and lower with a lever. We could not get him off this ride! Gracie loved the froggie ride. Gid kinda freaked out and refused to go. I finally bribed him to ride this ride and low and behold I could no longer get him off the frog.

We loved how Gracie's dress kept flying up when the ride went down.

ST. GEORGE TRIP

We spent 9 days in sunny St. George! We had lots of fun in the very warm 111 degree weather! The kids especially enjoyed swimming and playing with their cousins! We did so many fun things it is hard to remember them all but we will make a valiant effort!

We went to "touch Jesus's house" (we do this every time we go to St. George)!

BIRTHDAY CAKES!

WE HAVE HAD 3 BIRTHDAYS AT OUR HOUSE RECENTLY! ALL THE KIDS GOT TO PICK OUT THE CAKE/CUPCAKES THEY WANTED ME TO MAKE. THEY LOVED THEM AND HAD GREAT BIRTHDAYS! THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT MADE THE DAY SPECIAL!

GID WANTED A PIRATE CAKE. IT TURNED OUT RATHER CUTE BUT IT ENDED UP BEING A "SINKING PIRATE SHIP" DUE TO THE CAKE NOT WANTING TO COOPERATE!

GRACIE WANTED A PRINCESS CAKE. SHE LOVED THIS CAKE AND WEARS THE TIARA AND RINGS EVERYWHERE!

HALLE GOT CUPCAKES. SHE COULD NOT DECIDE WHICH SHE LIKED MORE SO WE DID TWO KINDS. SHE GOT THESE SPIDERS AND.........
FROGGIES! SHE KNEW EXACTLY WHAT THE WERE SO I GUESS THEY LOOKED OK!

I FINALLY DID IT!

After all my talk about never starting a blog, I have! I heard it was way easy (which was actually a bloody nightmare) but now I may have it figured out! It only took me 8 hours and lots of editing help from my wonderful husband! This hopefully will be easier than sending 40 pictures via e-mail every month! I figure it may be fun to post funny stories and video about the kids. I don't want to forget some of the funny things they do and say. Gid and his contagious giggle, Grace and her first primary talk about the good samaratin, or my little Halle Bug who at 2 yrs old managed to flood the basement (even though at the time I wished I could forget). Since we are on vacation now look for more posts in a few days!
