A visit from THE MAN!

My Fav Uncle Steven came to visit from Alaska. We had so much fun with him. He is doing great even with the oxygen. We love him so much!

I asked Brian to make Gid a shelf to get some crap off of his dresser. Since he has a Boston Red Sox bedroom, this is what he came up with. A baseball shelf. Just awesome!

Who has cute cheeks?

My little Halle bug does! Becki says she should be a gymnast when she gets older. She has the strong body and the butt cheeks always popping out!

Like Father Like Daughter.

We were able to go to Grandpa Ariel and Grandma Nette's water slide. Halle was a little nervous about going down so she went with her dad. Brian must be trying to make it easier for Hal by covering her face.

MIRACLES

Last night I received a phone call from my mom. She calmly told me that she had gotten a phone call from my little brother Shawn's mission president. Shawn is serving a mission in Tennessee (but is currently serving in Kentucky). She told me that Shawn and his companion had been in a SMALL accident. I was thinking a bike wreck or something. You know nothing to bad, right? Um, wrong. Before I start just know that I was kind of in shock so I hope I remember all the details right. Shawn and his companion were in a car and went over a 200 foot cliff. Shawn was somehow ejected from the car and landed under a tree with his seat belt still attached to him but minus the chair. His companion Elder Walker was driving and he went through the windshield and was then somehow sucked back into the car. When the ambulance arrived on scene they they called for life flight. Nobody could survive that without serious injury right? Um again wrong. This is where the miracle comes in. Shawn and his companion are both fine. Shawn has a few bruises, a cut above his eye and they found a spot on his liver they want to keep an eye on so he was staying in the hospital overnight. He is expected to be released sometime today. When mom spoke to him for a minute he said he does not remember anything about the wreck or what caused it. He remembers waking up under a tree because it was so hot outside. He remembers when they put him on the helicopter and when they took him back off again because he was again in the hot sun (he does not like the heat)! His companion has it a little worse. He has cuts from the windshield, fractured vertebre, broken sternum and bruises. However he is also expected to be released this week. They will be staying in the mission home where the president can keep and eye on them and help them recover. Mom was told the ambulance personnel were shocked that anyone survived this wreck but even more so with the little injury that they both had. They said that it looked like someone had just taken Shawn from the car with his seat belt and calmly layed him against the tree to sleep. Shawn said he was fine just wanted to get the heck out of the hospital and told mom he would see him 1 1/2 years when he was done with his mission. This is such a miracle to me and a huge testimony builder. I know heavenly father watched over his missionaries and answers prayers. I also truly believe that my dad is also watching over Shawn. I believe it was my dad who put him under that tree. He was his guardian angel this day. You see, this accident happened exactly 10 years after my dad died. I mean to the day. My dad died August 1st 2001. I find it very significant that Shawn got in this wreck on August 1st 2011. Of all the others days it was this one. There is not a day that goes by that we and our kids do not pray for Uncle Shawn to be safe on his mission. I am so glad that our Heavenly father listens to us and answers our prayers. He kept Shawn and his companion safe while they are serving him. A true miracle!
