Taylor Family Fun Run!

Yea, I know it was over a month ago and I am just posting (and posting pretty much what Tric and Jen have already posted) but here goes.  Some of the Taylor's have been doing 5k's this summer and trying to talking me into running one.  I am cheap and won't pay lots to run when I can do it for free but in June there was not a 5k to run so we did one in Clifton at Chad and Jen's.  I decided to run and had so much fun.  I felt great and was not even tired.  Fun..so much.

My dear hubby ran with me and kept me motivated.  I did learn it is so much more fun to run with someone than alone.  I did another 5k in Declo with Lisa and it again was fun and easy.  I had so much run Tricia talked me into doing Dayton's Fun Run this year.  I hated the whole thing.  I ran it alone (since Brian had to try and beat his last years time...which he did).  Lets just say I totally sucked.  I really thought I was going to die this time.  I could not breath, thought I was going to pass out.  By the end I was just glad that I did not quit when I ran past Bri's parents house because I really wanted to.  The only reason I didn't was because Gid, Hayden and Austi were out on the road cheering me on and giving me high 5's.  Such good kids.  I keep trying to tell myself I sucked so bad due to the Larengitis I had the whole previous week but who knows.  All I know is I really have no desire to do another "Fun Run.

The kids did a mile run.  Wyatt (being the smart kid he is) decided to win he would just ride his bike and he won!

Dropped the jeep off to Hal and Chloe.  They finished the "run" in style.  this was one of my fav parts of the day.

There he is, he decided to walk back on the tubes (can't remember what they are called) and got cornered by a horse. 

So this was another fav moment of the day.  Notice Hal's swimsuit.  Hal went in to change to play in the water and Colby came out saying "Wendi, I am not an expert on womens fashion but I am pretty sure there may be a problem with Hal's suit" Sure enough, there was a problem.  She put her suit on backwards.  She was kind of embarrassed when everyone was laughing and taking her picture but I love this story.  Such a Hal.

There's a hole......

 In Gracie's head.  Or three or four!  Gracie woke me up one morning saying "mom, wake up, I really need to talk to you."  Thinking it was important I woke up quickly and asked what she needed.  She said "I really really want to get my ears pierced today"  Wow, big emergency there right.  Well, it was for her.  She had a dream that night that she got her ears pierced and it had not hurt.  Plus Aunt Lisa had told her how cute she would look so she had to have it done right away.  Well, she did have to wait a few days till we were in Logan and to make sure she wanted it done but quite frankly I was stoked since I am so sick of buying her clip on earrings that get lost within 2 hours of her getting them.  This was a picture of her getting them pierced.  She did not make a peep and was surprised that it had not hurt at all.  She is way excited that her 6 weeks are almost up and she can change her earrings!  So this story explains 2 of the holes in her head!

And here are the other 2 holes in her head!  Gracie lost her first two teeth within 1 week of each other.  This completes all 4 holes.  She is still just plain beautiful.  I just love the color of her hair.  I wish I had it but when I ask her to share with me she just laughs and says "my hair is not a wig mom".  However this pretty hair soon will be!  Gracie wants to cut her hair and donate it to locks of love.  Whoever gets this hair is just plain lucky!  What an incredible and sweet girl she is.  I love her so so much!

T-ball

 The kids are playing t-ball this year.  All 3 of the kids are on the same team and I get to help coach.  It has been so much fun!  These are a few of the fun pics Brian took.

 I love this picture of Gid mid stride.  He has really opened up this year, and even smiles once in a while when playing.

 Gid and Halle really get into the hitting.  They can both hit the ball way out in the field and but a lot of muscle into it.  It is fun to watch their face while hitting.

 Then there is our princess Grace.  She is content to just tap the ball and look cute running.

 Gracie really does have a pretty good arm and is pretty accurate.  She like to just go out and throw more with Mom than playing with her team. 

 Helping Halle bat, she really is pretty impressive.  We have even got it through her head that she has to play the field also, not just bat and then sit out while the team play defense.

The kids have had so much fun this year,  I have had fun coaching them but we are looking forward to having one more night available each week.  Summer is going by way to fast.

Duck park

 We love to go down and have lunch with Dad!  There is this cute park with a little lake and ducks around that you can feed, hence the name "Duck park".
